We partnered with several product suppliers on the Shopify Plus ecommerce platform, serving large-scale buyers such as government bodies and financial institutions. These suppliers needed robust procurement integrations to streamline transactions with their clients’ SAP systems.
Buyers required seamless access to each supplier’s Shopify store directly from their SAP procurement system. They needed to build carts, create purchase requisitions, and process approvals efficiently. Manual processes were causing delays, increasing errors, and complicating order fulfilment across multiple suppliers.
We developed bespoke punchout catalogue integrations, linking Shopify Plus to SAP using cXML standards for multiple suppliers. This enabled buyers to log into their SAP system, access each supplier’s e-commerce store automatically, add items to their cart, and create purchase requisitions for manager approval. Approved requisitions generated purchase orders in SAP, which were sent to Shopify and pushed to each supplier’s ERP system for fulfilment.
All integrations were delivered on time, within budget, and built to be secure and low-maintenance, respecting each supplier’s intellectual property.
